Paradiso Beach in Pratnjice Bay
Located on the Pelješac peninsula, just off east of Orebić, Postup originally was an appellation, where next to the vineyards a small settlement emerged, too. Plavac mali, Dalmatia's most important grape type is still grown on the terraces of the hillside - it's the quintessence of the wine sort Postup, named after the location.
The coastline on this part of Pelješac is occupied mainly by rocks and cliffs, a couple of small bays break the stone shores, though. The only man-made beach is found below Camp Paradiso, in Pratnjice Bay - the shore here is gravel or even sandy with concrete coveered terraces above. Some 150 meters east of Pratnjice Bay another small cove with gravel can be found - this one is accessible by car, too. Besides these two beaches the coast below Harlovići hamlet and in Perilučica Bay hide tiny, gravel beaches, which are somewhat difficult to access.
Villa Antonio in Bibice and a couple private apartments in Postup and Harlovići offer accommodation in the village. Yet the most popular place to stay in Postup is Camp Paradiso with its fantastic location and terraces. Being a small place, there are no groceries or restaurants in Postup - one would go to Orebić for shopping and eating out.
